Cornerstone opens at 11 a.m.
Halifax Academy closed.
Halifax County schools closed.
KIPP GCP and KIPP Halifax closed.
Northampton County schools closed.
Roanoke Rapids Graded School District closed. School system spokesman Les Atkins said while the road conditions have improved, sidewalks and curbs continue to be hazardous for students who walk to school. Staff will work Friday on a two-hour delay and in the coming weeks school leaders will determine how to make up the missed school days, he said.
Weldon City Schools will be on a two-hour delay.
