Chaloner Middle School 7th Grade Social Studies teacher Patrick Quast got a surprise visit this morning from Superintendent Dennis Sawyer and Principal Jeff White.
Quast was named the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District 2015 Teacher Ambassador.
He will go on to represent RRGSD at the state level for North Carolina's Teacher of the Year.
Quast started with the district in August of 2013 after teaching for a year at Davie Middle School.
He is a graduate of State University of New York - Oswego.
