
One man was arrested Wednesday and another is being sought in a May 16 breaking and entering.
Detective B.C. Griffin of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said money, firearms and other items were taken in the residential break-in that occurred in the Littleton area.
Cody Daryl Ballero, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and larceny of a firearm. He was jailed on $10,000 bond and has a July 22 court date.
Griffin continues to seek information on the whereabouts of Seqwaun Lamar Hawkins, 22, of Roanoke Rapids, who faces the same charges as Ballero, plus a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
