HCSO, task force roundup

The City County Drug Task Force and the Halifax County Sheriff's Office reported the following:

HCSO

Detective Obert Wiltsie reports the sheriff's office is investigating a breaking and entering which occurred at aWeldon area  business in the early morning hours of November 6.

Approximately $300 worth of damage was done when a window was broken and a screen was torn out at the business on Highway 301.

A small amount of currency was taken.

As of this report there was no suspect description available.

Task force

Captain A.M. Harris reports agents conducted a saturated patrol in the Enfield community Wednesday and Thursday evening.

Agents conducted traffic stops for motor vehicle violations.

During the saturated patrol agents issued 12 charges on state uniform citations as well as four written warnings for equipment violations.

The citations were for the following:

1 – seat belt violation

2-expired registrations

2- inspection violations

3-driving while license revoked

1-fail to register vehicle

1-child restraint

1-insurance violation

1-simple possession of marijuana

Search warrant execution

On Thursday at approximately 7:28 p.m., agents and Corporal P. Moyer from the patrol division of the sheriff's office executed a search warrant at a Sherlock Holmes Road residence.

During the search of the residence marijuana was seized.

Agent D.R. Radford charged Evaline McDaniel, 55, of Enfield, with possessing marijuana up to one-half ounce.

McDaniel received a January 27 court date.
