Cheryl Warren is Halifax County’s new human resources management director.
She replaces Tony Gupton who left the county in September.
County Manager Tony Brown said in a statement prior to her employment at Chapel Hill, Warren served in other human resources positions to include serving as HR director for PhyAmerica Government Services, assistant HR director at Lincoln Community Health Center, HR manager at CMP Mechanical Solutions and HR generalist for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She also serves as an officer of the court in Durham County through her affiliation with the Guardian Ad Litem program for the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts where she works directly with abused and neglected children.
“I look forward to working with Halifax County, especially the Human Resources Management staff and the management team,” she said in the statement.
