Two Republicans will square off for a Halifax County Board of Commissioners seat against Democratic winners of the May 6 primary.
Today, Sammy Webb, a local attorney, filed to run as a Republican in what is shaping up to be a hotly contested race. Republican John Whichard filed Monday.
Also today, incumbent Halifax County District Attorney Melissa Pelfrey filed to run, presumably against Northampton DA Valerie Asbell, who has not yet filed.
