Roanoke Rapids police Chief Chuck Hasty introduced the new captains of the patrol and investigative divisions to city council this evening.
Bobby Martin was named captain of the investigative division while Andy Bryant was named patrol captain.
Martin has 21 years of experience in law enforcement, which includes time in Warren County, Weldon, Halifax County and Roanoke Rapids.
Bryant has 24 years of law enforcement experience, all within Roanoke Rapids.
“We welcome them to the administrative team for the department,” Hasty said. “They are committed to the police department going in a positive direction and serving the citizens of Roanoke Rapids.”
