
The Halifax County Sheriff's Office today arrested a Roanoke Rapids man on weapons charges related to a stolen rifle which was sold to a local pawn shop.

Investigation by Detective B.C. Griffin led to charges of breaking and entering; larceny of a firearm; possession of a stolen firearm; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and obtaining property by false pretense being lodged against Andrew Riley Hardin, 27.
Investigation by Griffin determined Hardin reportedly stole the rifle during a residential break-in which occurred December 16 in the Highway 48 area of Roanoke Rapids.
Hardin received a $20,000 bond and March 30 court date.

Meanwhile, Detective Brittany Nutt reports the sheriff's office is looking for Curtis Antonio Ramsey of Roanoke Rapids.
Ramsey is wanted for a break-in which occurred on Everetts School Road. A stolen laptop taken in the break-in was pawned at a local pawn shop.
Ramsey faces charges of obtaining property by false pretense and possession of stolen goods.
