The Weldon Police Department reported the following:
Wednesday, August 10, 2016
At approximately 12:09 a.m., Officer William Wheeler conducted a traffic stop between West Second and Mulberry streets.
Camilla Evans, 18, of Littleton, was arrested for contempt of court, perjury and court violations. She received a $600 bond and September 15 court date.
Officer Michael Sledge assisted.

At approximately 9:32 p.m., Sledge conducted a traffic stop near Grant Park.
Lionel Martin, 32, of Halifax, was arrested for contempt of court, perjury and court violations.
Monday, August 22, 2016
At approximately 1:30 p.m., Officer Noland Coles was searching for a suspect in the 1000 block of Washington Avenue.
Andre Hopkins, 49, of Weldon, was arrested and charged with possessing and concealing stolen property.
He received a $3,000 bond and September 14 court date.
Officer Quinton Godley and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

At approximately 8:59 p.m., Coles received a call in reference to an expired license plate.
With further investigation, it was discovered Damion Washington, 28, of Weldon, had a warrant for his arrest.
He was arrested for buying/receiving stolen property. He has a $500 bond and August 26 court date.
Officer Derrick Moore assisted.
