
The Halifax County Board of Elections will hold two meetings this week, one Thursday and one Friday.
The Thursday meeting, which will be held at 9 a.m. in the board office will at the Historic Courthouse in Halifax, will be to conduct a sample hand-to-eye count, approve supplemental absentee by mail ballots and provisional ballots.
The Friday meeting, which will be held at 11 a.m. in the board office, is to certify the 2016 general election.
Board of Elections Supervisor Kristin Scott said there were no irregularities reported during last Tuesday’s election and there have been no protests submitted.
Other election related matters may be discussed during both meetings.
