A woman who has been arrested in the past for drug dealing has arranged to give up to the City County Drug Task Force after agents executed a search warrant today.
The anticipated surrender of 56-year-old Evaline McDaniel was one of two operations today in Enfield.
Captain A.M. Harris said McDaniel, of Sherlock Holmes Road, was not at home at the time the search warrant was served around 1 p.m.
Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Corporal P. Moyer’s dog Bosco found marijuana placed in potato chip bags which were concealed in a pile of cans stored in the backyard for recycling, Harris said.
Fifty-four individually-wrapped bags of marijuana weighing approximately 129 grams was seized, along with items of drug paraphernalia.
Harris obtained the warrants on McDaniel for felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
Undercover sales
Earlier today, around 10:30 a.m., agents arrested Michael Takayus Silver, 25.
Agents received information of Silver selling narcotics in the area of Brigadier Lane.
The first encounter with Silver was May 19 and the second was today.
On both occasions Silver sold marijuana to a source working in an undercover capacity.
Silver was arrested and charged with maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and two counts each of sell marijuana, deliver marijuana, and possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.
Harris conducted this investigation as well.
