The Halifax County Sheriff's Office charged a woman today with stealing an acquaintance's vehicle as well as some money from the victim.
The sheriff's office received the report early Wednesday morning after the vehicle was taken from the Highway 158 area of Roanoke Rapids.
Detective O.L. Wiltsie said the vehicle was recovered on Hamilton Street between Second and Third streets.
Wiltsie charged Crystal King with larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny. She received $1,000 bond and August 12 court date.
