Charles P. McElheney Jr., right, presented a $10,000 check to Halifax Community College Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the HCC Foundation Inc.Dianne Rhoades Wednesday.
The funds will establish the Corky H. McElheney Memorial Scholarship.
The endowed scholarship will benefit HCC students who have attained and maintained a 2.5 grade point average, maintained at least part-time status and demonstrated financial need.
