Sentencing continuance sought for remaining Rockfish defendants

A continuance in the sentencings of 14 defendants in the Operation Rockfish police corruption case is being sought.

The motion filed by Greenville attorney Keith Williams Monday seeks to have their sentencings rescheduled until after the trial of Antonio Tillmon, the only one who did not enter a guilty plea in the case.
Tillmon’s trial has been set for the April 24 term of United States Court. The remaining 14 are tentatively scheduled for sentencing during the March 7 term.
“The defendants respectfully request the sentencings be reset for a date after the trial of co-defendant Antonio Tillmon,” the motion in the federal court record says. “The defendants contend as a matter of judicial economy and efficiency that all sentencings should occur at the same term of court. Doing so will also allow appropriate consideration of the sentencing factor … to avoid unwarranted sentence disparities among defendants with similar conduct."
The United States Attorneys Office has no objection to the motion, Williams said.
Those who have pled guilty are:
Lann Tjuan Clanton
Ikeisha Jacobs
Jason Boone
Adrienne Moody
Cory Jackson
Jimmy Pair Jr.
Curtis Boone
Alaina Sue-Kam-Ling
Kavon Phillips
Crystal Pierce
Alphonso Ponton
Thomas Jefferson Allen II
Tohsa Rochelle Dailey
Wardie Vincent Jr.
