
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is looking for a man who reportedly passed a counterfeit $100 bill in exchange for change Monday night.
According to a statement from Lieutenant C.L. Vaught, the man approached the ticket window of Roanoke Cinemas around 7 p.m. and asked for change.
The bill was later identified as bogus.
The man has long dreadlocks.
Also on Monday, around 11 a.m., a man entered Walmart, placed items in a shopping cart and exited the store without paying.
Vaught said when an employee approached, the man ran outside and was seen fleeing in a Honda Accord.
